“You are the one.” –Morpheus
Would you ever have thought of comparing “The Matrix” with being an online marketer?
I really enjoyed the Maxtrix movies – I’m a big sci-fi fan. But I would never have thought about the similarities of the movie with online marketing until I heard a morning wake-up call that really got me thinking about this.
The speaker, Brian Fanale of MLSP, was talking about the message behind the movie “The Matrix,” and how it related to us in the marketing business.
Morpheus asks Neo if he wants the red pill or the blue pill.
“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill – the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill – you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.”
You know he had to pick the red pill.
But as a marketer, which pill do you choose? This is the choice marketers have to make. Do you want to keep living in your own little “safe” imaginary world, or do you want to come out into the real world and make things happen in your life – push the envelope . . . challenge yourself. . . grow into your greatness.
If “You are the One,” YOU have to take the red pill, come out of your cocoon, and deal with life head on. Deal with your dragons and ghosts, your limiting beliefs and negative messages.
You have to stretch and grow into the person you were born to be. . . find your passion, your gifts . . . give your value to the world. It is not an easy road and, at times, it is very hard to keep up the belief that we really are the one – that we can be that person – The One who can be successful . . .
Neo finally starts to believe that he is the One. . . . How did he get to that point? . . . What was it that kept him going? . . . kept him moving in the right direction?
He had people surrounding him that believed in him, encouraged him, supported him.
Who do you have surrounding you? . . . Where does that kind of support and encouragement come from in your life? Have you tapped into a supportive community, coaches, trainers, leaders, masterminds, fellow up-and-coming marketers?
Start believing that YOU are the One, that YOU are worthy . . . Rewire your brain, reprogram it . . . Reprogram those negative messages into positive, supportive messages. . . . We all have negative messages haunting us, barriers to break down, hurtles to jump over.
Stand up in Confidence and Stop the Bullets with Your Hand . . . Step into Your Greatness . . . Awaken the Giant Within!
